Grandma Rogers

Today our Grandma Rogers would be 93 years old.

Wow! Some of you would have a hard time remembering her because she has been gone for 23 years. But I promise you that we had some good times at her house. Most of our Dutch Christmas recipes came from Grandma. Her pantry was always full of good things to eat and M&M's were always available for little snackers. No one could fry an egg as good as Mom! She loved you all very much.

Her legacy to us - the cabin, mousie sandwiches and undershirts.

Sunny Days

I hope that wherever you live you are enjoying a little bit of sunshine.

For the last week we have been blessed with warm and sunny days.

Saturday Kade and Zach joined us for a hike in Pioneer Park and a root beer float at the Social Hall.

Sunday we walked to all our meetings just because it was so warm and lovely.

I've enjoyed reading my library books out on the back porch in the sunshine.

We've been eating lunch out back too.

Aahhhh! I love the sunshine!

How could I resist?

When Jon called the other day to ask if I would come watch the kids while he and Jolynn celebrated their anniversary - how could I resist?

Just look at these cute little faces. Who would pass up the chance to spend time playing dinosaurs with Max, or baking cookies with Alyssa and Hannah? Trav and I had planned to stay up late and watch a Star Wars movie - but it didn't happen this time. And Brianna was my all-night entertainment. This Grandma had a fun time.

Aunt Koi

This is Aunt Koi. Today would be her birthday.

She was a fun sister, I miss having her around.

Barbara and I were looking at old pictures yesterday and she said she thought this was a nice picture of Koi.
