The popular hike - all the kids wanted to do it.  This is the youngest group coming in the back way.
Jennie with Sam and Josh -  Its like herding cats.
Kelsey and Emma stuck in the mud -  kind of fun at first but you could loose your shoes.
Julie, Ammon, Barbie, Cassie and Cody.  Lots of catching up to do.

PS:  The rain was awesome.  Nothing more wonderful on a campout
than to wake up to a downpour of rain and be all snuggly and warm in your tent.

Birthdays in the Rain

This month Hannah turned 11 and Alyssa turned 13 - yikes!
Where has the time gone?
Thinking that dolls and legos weren't the "thing" for their birthday gifts this year we decided to invite them to join us for an evening at Tuacahn.  Our first choice was Mary Poppins and we were there ready and excited to see the show.  But the rain came down and the show closed up and we went home so sad.

While we were waiting we did take advantage of this photo opp place.
Aren't we cute?

Not to be beaten by a little rain, we tried again the next night and had wonderful seats to see
 Thoroughly Modern Millie.
We had to return the girls to their parents Wednesday morning and our timing must have been just perfect because they closed the Park road behind us because of rain damage.   AND we got them home in time to help with the chores on the ranch.
Luckily we had planned to stay at the cabin and the road thought the Park was reopened by the time we were ready to go back home on Thursday.

Grandpa got to enjoy a little fishing with Jon and the kids on this beautiful pond.  I think Dallin was the champion fisherman that day.  He caught two big fish.
